The Storms River is a 100% undammed, natural river, which means water levels change constantly depending on recent rainfall. This is part of what makes every trip unique and adventurous.
Because the river is naturally shallow in sections, some walking (portaging) is almost always part of the experience, regardless of water level. We use tubes specifically because they are ideal for these mixed conditions.
